I consider my style casual and comfortable. I want to capture your child having fun! My goal is to capture real personalities and smiles! Sessions can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. I’m in no hurry!
Once your child is sitting on their own/standing/walking or running, outdoor sessions are the way to go! Green grass and bright colors make wonderful photos! Here is a list of my favorite locations. Remember, these are suggestions only. Please let me know if you have a location that is special to your family.
Quail Hollow Park, Wilder Ranch, Roaring Camp, Westlake Pond, Natural Bridges Beach or Park, Main Beach (near the Wharf), Yacht Harbor/Jetty
On-location sessions may also be done at your home!
What to Expect
Fun!! And more fun! While I will occasionally ask your child to stop, slow down and maybe sit here or there for me, I really want to capture your child having fun! I want to see running and laughing, cartwheels and somersaults, bubbles and lollipops! Piggy back rides and storytime, giggles and secrets……..are you getting the idea yet?? Cuddles and wrestling, climbing and jumping, sand-castles and forts. I could go on, but I think you get it now! I want to capture your child being just ordinary them!!!
What to Wear
I love color! Avoid white if possible (boring). Layers and textures are wonderful!
Casual clothing (think Gap Kids, Hanna Anderson, and Gymboree style)
Avoid big logos, I want the focus to be on your child, not the clothes they wear!
Barefoot is best!
Is your child in a dress themself stage? Do they like rainboots, cowboy hats, tutus, and bright striped tights? By all means, let’s capture it! Please feel free to bring along a fun and funky outfit!!
And, I have lots and lots of headbands, bows, tutus, pettis and rompers for the little girls! My prop stash is always growing!
Little chairs, wagons and old baskets can be fun! Their favorite stuffed animal or buckets for the beach! I’m all about having fun!
** Don’t forget to bring along an outfit change (or two). I’m sure you’ll want a little variety in your photos and… kids will be kids…!
