Happy Birthday to my sweet nephew Charlie! I can’t believe you’re one already!! You may remember Charlie from his NEWBORN or maybe his & 7 MONTH SESSION .

Charlie, you are just as adorable today as the day you were born!! You’re still smiling, still drooling and still a little love bug!

I loved this little series of: ”YEAH, SO BIG, and I’M ONE”

I don’t think he liked his birthday hat very much, but he quickly forgot about it once we set the cupcake in front of him.

And, here’s a little slideshow of his “cake smash.” He loved it and was not shy about digging in!! I love at the end, he was gulping down his milk!

I absolutely fell in love with this family. Seriously, I could have stayed all day! Even as I looked around their home, I kept thinking, ‘wow, this feels like my house.” In fact, I think I kept saying, “I have that couch, those dishes, etc.” Lot and lots of similarities and you combine that with how sweet this family was and really, I think I’ve made new friends! At the end of the session J even sent me home with a bag of apples from their trees and then emailed me her Mama’s apple cake recipe. See, I think I’m family. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the apples, but hmmmm, they are berry farmers and if it had been berry season………….maybe next time.

Sadie was 4 weeks old the day of her session, slightly older than the average newborn session, but once Mama got her to sleep, we were able to move her in and out of props and keep her sleeping. She is so adorable and definitely going to be the princess in this family!

And Sam, what a boy he is! Cute as a button, kind, caring, respectful, yet all boy. He even showed me that he can drive his own little 4-wheeler around! Seriously, Sam, you’re only 3! Dad says since he was big enough to reach to pedal he was driving. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a farmers son. Look how sweet he is with his baby sister.

Grand-Babies

I recently posted about little Miss Leighton turning one and her darling little “cookies and milk” party. Not wanting to play favorites, and since I happened to take a few photos of her cousins on the same day, I thought I’d share.

Beckett is now 2 years, 4 months and all boy!! Fortunately he thought it was fun to sit on top of the table and it’s the only way I had more than a split second to get a photo of him (good thinking Nana). I just love his hair, although I know his first big boy haircut is in the near future.

And B’s little sister Gigi is now 4 months old and cute as a button! I just love how sturdy she sat up in the Bumbo seat. They definitely should be a part of a photographers arsenal.

Our sweet little Leigh Leigh turned one this week! I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone!

I know I am a little biased here, since I am her Nana, but isn’t she about the cutest little one ever??

I just love how thoughtful she is prior to even going for the cupcake. It’s as if she’s thinking, “Mom, can I really have this??”

Ok, but I’m going to be very careful!

Yummy, maybe I’ll try a little more!

I think I like it, but I still need to study it carefully and not get too dirty when I eat!

Reef, at the Beach

A few months have passed since I’ve gotten to photograph little Reef. He is now a crawling, climbing, busy little guy! There is no doubt that he loves the beach! He enjoyed the sand, both crawling in it and eating it! He also loved the ocean!

Busy little Lilly!! When I talked to Lilly’s mama when we booked the session, she was telling me how Lilly is a calm child, can sit for long periods of time and look at books and paint. Well, she decided to prove her mom wrong!! She was busy busy busy, but her cuteness won out, and in the end we got some great photos! We just had to get creative on how we “stopped her in her tracks” to get her to look at the camera. I love when parents leave a session wondering if we got any great shots, and then I get to show them images like these!!

And then the unexpected shot during an outfit change and it might just be my favorite!!

Finally, a boy! I’m not sure why it is, but my “baby” clients are mostly girls?!?! I think it must have to do with my collections of tutus, hairbows and anything pink! But finally, the most precious of baby boys came to see me! Just look at all his dark hair and his luscious little lips!! (ok Brit, don’t tell him I said that when he’s a teenager). I was lucky enough to get to see him two days in a row. His Mama does my hair and the day after his session, they came over for coffee, baby cuddles and to “wash away my gray.” Thank you, I needed that!

I’m not posting my fav quite yet, as I think they might want to use it on their birth announcement and I don’t want to ruin the surprise. It’s pretty cute!!

I stepped back in time a few years (okay, lots of years) when this “three girl” family walked into the studio. Yes, I will admit to being partial, since I raised three daughters, but just look at how cute they are and I’m sure you’ll agree with me……. “three girls” is the best!

Jill, thank you so much for sharing your sweet daughters with me! They are all adorable and I can’t wait for them to come back so we can play “dress up.” I might even join you for ice cream next time And, I hope you now have nothing but positive memories of having professional photos taken of the girls!

What an adorable name for the sweetest of little girls!! I just love it!! Congratulations on your little blessing and thank you for bringing her to me for her newborn photos!

When I was told that they were bringing Daddy’s dirt bike helmet, I was expecting something rather battered and dirty. Nope, Dad pulls out this helmet in pristine condition! Perfectly clean………until Charlee decided to pee-pee in it! Ooops, sorry Dad! But we’re even, since the pee then dribbled onto my barefoot!

Is she going to be a Daddy’s girl or what??
