Busy Boys!!

There was only one word to describe this session……..BUSY!! These boys did not stop! I’m just so thankful that their parents had a “let’s just let them have fun” attitude and didn’t have big expectations for the perfect posed portrait. These boys, as sweet as they are, came into the session with their own agendas.

I’ve crossed paths with this family multiple times over the years, but it wasn’t until a friend of theirs referred me to them that they even knew I was a photographer. I love when sessions come from referrals!!

We met up at Wilder Ranch on a VERY cold morning. It was perfect for photo taking, as there were no harsh shadows or squinty eyes, but poor little Miss E was so cold. Her sweet little nose was bright red. I look forward to a second little “mini” session to get a few of Ella alone and a few sister pics. We ran into a little time issue and honestly, it was just too cold for the girls. At least we got the family pics done, so next time will be just some fun with the girls!

I absolutely fell in love with this family. Seriously, I could have stayed all day! Even as I looked around their home, I kept thinking, ‘wow, this feels like my house.” In fact, I think I kept saying, “I have that couch, those dishes, etc.” Lot and lots of similarities and you combine that with how sweet this family was and really, I think I’ve made new friends! At the end of the session J even sent me home with a bag of apples from their trees and then emailed me her Mama’s apple cake recipe. See, I think I’m family. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the apples, but hmmmm, they are berry farmers and if it had been berry season………….maybe next time.

Sadie was 4 weeks old the day of her session, slightly older than the average newborn session, but once Mama got her to sleep, we were able to move her in and out of props and keep her sleeping. She is so adorable and definitely going to be the princess in this family!

And Sam, what a boy he is! Cute as a button, kind, caring, respectful, yet all boy. He even showed me that he can drive his own little 4-wheeler around! Seriously, Sam, you’re only 3! Dad says since he was big enough to reach to pedal he was driving. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a farmers son. Look how sweet he is with his baby sister.

Between me being out of town and big brother going to pre-school, it took a while to finally get this session on the books, but even at 3 1/2 weeks old, Baby Leela was as sweet and good as can be! She is perfectly adorable! Congratulations N & K, on the sweet addition to your already beautiful family! I enjoyed our day together!

I stepped back in time a few years (okay, lots of years) when this “three girl” family walked into the studio. Yes, I will admit to being partial, since I raised three daughters, but just look at how cute they are and I’m sure you’ll agree with me……. “three girls” is the best!

Jill, thank you so much for sharing your sweet daughters with me! They are all adorable and I can’t wait for them to come back so we can play “dress up.” I might even join you for ice cream next time And, I hope you now have nothing but positive memories of having professional photos taken of the girls!

Cuteness times three with this family! Big sisters (a.k.a. Sam & George) were so sweet and lots of fun! Little Noah wasn’t sure he wanted to sit for photos, but we did manage a few prior to him needing his nap. Thanks Emma & Abby (and Noah) for coming to the studio to play! I hope we do it again soon!

What a little cutie! This family is great and they just happen to own one of my favorite furniture stores in town. You’ve got to love when you can both support each other’s businesses! Check out their business, Sweet’s in the Nude and tell them I sent you!

We had a fun studio session and Mr. C. was up for just about anything!

And I especially love this one! His Giants uniform was given to him by their friend, Brian Stow. You may be familiar with him. He is the SF Giants fan that was brutally attacked at Dodger’s Stadium. My heart and prayers are with Brian and his family!!

Oh my goodness! I had so much fun at the studio with my niece and her family! Her little guy is getting so BIG!!! Way back when he was a baby he didn’t want anything to do with me taking photos of him, but this time he was a great sport and even put up with multiple changes and ideas!

Daniel, thanks for coming and playing and thank you to your Mama, Dada and Nanny for all their help too!

From the moment they got out of the car, I knew this session was going to be great! Even in her play clothes, Mackenzie was perfectly put together and cute! Within a couple of minutes Mom had both of them changed, we reviewed a few of my products and we were ready for some fun! Logan was the happiest little guy and full of personality! And Miss M, well, let’s just say that she is pretty much the perfect little 3 year old! She was adorable, polite, sweet with her little brother and a great little helper! Jennifer, thank you for being so patient with my crazy schedule and for being so well prepared when you arrived at the studio. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby Reef & Family~Santa Cruz Photographer

Baby Reef came into the studio all smiles, but quickly decided that being photographed wasn’t his thing. He decided he was tired and just wanted to nap. We did manage to get a few shots of him alone, but he was much happier sleeping in the arms of his parents or Grandpa. Who could blame him, being snuggled by those who love you is the best!
