Tag Archives: Personal Another early bus ride, although slightly less adventurous, brought us from Chichicastanengo to the area of Lake Atitlan and Panajachel. I really only have one word to describe it…….GORGEOUS! Our first view of Lake Atitlan was at an overlook where we stopped for a few quick photo opportunities! The view was amazing! And talking about… We arrived in Guatemala City one day ahead of most of our group, so those of us there did a day tour of the city. We got to view and visit The Ixchel Textile Museum, The Guatemala Relief Map, which was constructed in the early 1900′s, see the National Palace at the City Square, and… As many of you know (or maybe you don’t), my husband & I, along with about 30 Rotarians from area clubs (and even a few from Oklahoma City) just got home from a service trip to Guatemala. What a wonderful experience it was! We enjoyed great company & wonderful sites! My husband and I termed… As I put this slideshow together, I realized how truly blessed I am! Blessed for the support of my family and friends, especially my husband and daughters, who believe in me!
