Historic Downtown Branson~Santa Cruz Photographer

We’ve been in Branson, MO for nearly a week now. Surprisingly, I’ve haven’t had a lot of opportunities to get out and photograph! Finally today, the rain stopped and I had a free morning. We walked around Historic Downtown Branson. Honestly, with the exception of one store, most of it is pretty ticky-tacky (bad t-shirt shops, etc). Sorry, I don’t mean to insult you Branson. We really have seen some wonderful sites (they just aren’t downtown). The one exception to downtown is Dick’s 5 & 10 . This is one cool store! It is full of great old nostalgic items! Every aisle that I walked down reminded me of my childhood!

And here’s a glimpse of the toy aisle from the Five & Dime:

I did bring one of these toys home with me, can you guess which one???  Was it the Sock Monkey, Raggedy Ann, a Slinky or a collection of the small $2.00 toys??

My vote is Sock Monkey… I have a feeling that grand baby of yours might be the lucky recipient?

I would guess the sock monkey but will go against the popular vote and say Raggedy Ann since she reminded you of your own childhood? Great photos looks like a cool shop!

My first guess would have been the sock monkey, but you can get those at other place so I have to go with Raggedy Ann instead. You hardly ever see Raggedy Ann or Andy these days!!

I love shops like that. So much fun!!
