What are your traditions today? I remember when my girls were little like it was yesterday! The morning would start off with green pancakes and green milk, then the girls would rush off to school (decked out in green of course), because school is always fun on a party day! I even remember one year when I died my daughter’s (and her BFF) hair green the night before with jello! Oh what a mess that was, but they were excited to sport their green hair and shamrock glittered hat to school the following day! I was always the room parent (often in more than one class at a time) and had so much fun theming their parties! I really miss those days. Dinner of course, was always corned beef and cabbage and a big cold glass of green milk!! And of course, dessert was probably green frosted shamrock cookies and lime sherbet! I wonder if my girls had green pancakes this morning????? I hope when their babies get old enough that they’ll continue on some of our traditions and making some new ones of their own!
Now as I sit here all lost in memories and reminiscent of days past, I’m just drinking my coffee (nope not even the 1/2 & 1/2 is green) and wondering if I should wear green today! Yeah, I think I will………after all, I don’t want anyone to pinch me![]()
Here’s a little St. Patty’s Day wish from our little Irish McBaby to you!

Whatever your traditions are today……….Have fun and Be Safe!

He is soooo cute!! Growing so fast
Oh…. I love St. Patrick’s day!!! that sneaky leprechaun turned our milk green and made our pancakes green, too. soooo much fun! B loved the little gift bag the leprechaun left… it was filled with his 3 wishes. he went to bed telling me it was the best day ever.
your little beckett is as cute as can be … I love those bright blue eyes in the cute green container.

Wow, Renee, you really used to go all out for St. Patty’s Day!! We have corned beef and cabbage and wear green but you have put me to shame after reading all that you used to do! I bet your girls really appreciate all that you did to help them enjoy the holiday. My mom NEVER would have dyed my hair green. Not on purpose anyway. LOL Beckett is just so cute!! Love that pic!
He is SOOOO Cute. I can’t STAND it!
Beckett is soooo darling. I bet he gets kisses every day – not just on St. Patty’s day. LOL!
OH! I love! Hey Mr Beckett! You are beautiful in your bucket!!
What great memories! I can sense the excitement! The most we ever did for St Patty day is wear something green…maybe!! Love the picture of Beckett! I know I say this everything I see pictures of him, but I can’t believe how fast he is growing up!
This is AWESOME!! He’s so handsome and such a great shot!
Thanks for sharing the stories and the photo. He is adorable!
Love the story of your traditions. Traditions create such fond memories. Do I detect a hint of melancholy about not having everything decked out in green for St. Paddy’s these days?
oh my goodness..you are inspiring me to get with the st. patricks day traditions! I am behind…all we ever do is the corned beef and cabbage but I’m loving the green breakfast! Beckett is a cutie too!
OMG Renee, I love this pic of Becket, he looks so adorable, and that green besides him fits perfect to his beautiful skin and blue eyes
Oh Renee, thank you for sharing this. I did get a little teary thinking of what is ahead of me. Traditions that I hope to make for my little girl and memories that she will have forever.
Beckett is soooooooo lucky to have such a wonderful Nana that can not only make GREEN pancakes and beautiful photographs. Memories. So many memories. Love your post.
That’s got to be one of the most cutest shots I’ve ever seen!!! Being greek, we never celebrated this holiday, but you make me wish I was your kid on St. Patty’s day. What fun, and I’ve never had green pancakes or green milk or green beer for that matter. That does it, next St. Patty’s day, I’m coming to spend it with you!!
that is seriously cute cute cute!
