If asked, I might tell you that I most enjoy photographing newborns or children, but there is something so special about being asked to photograph multiple generations. Baby Lily is one of my “regulars” and this time she brought along her Mom, her Grandma and her Great Grandma for a little photography fun! Even Grandpa managed to sneak into a couple! And then of course, I had to grab a few of just Lily before I left.
I’ve known this family for years and can truly say that these women are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture what I hope will be treasured photographs for generations to come!
I hope this post encourages at least one other family to get photographs done with multiple generations. It is so important to document your family’s history and there is no better way than with photographs. And please, don’t forget to label the back of the photo of the year and who is in the photo. It seems so obvious now, but I can tell you from experience, that years and years down the road, when Lily’s grandchildren are looking at this photo, they won’t know. Don’t leave your family history to chance, take the time to preserve and document it. It may not mean much today, but I can promise you that these women are going to be thankful they took “an hour” to get these photos done!
