First off, I need to say, I am not and never will be a wedding photographer! Talking about pressure! Hats off to all my fellow photographers who have chosen this path! I know, with 100% certainty, that as much as I love weddings, shooting them is not for me!
I did however get to take photos of my niece during hair and makeup before her “hired” photographer showed up. She is so beautiful and made it very easy to get some great shots! Despite power outages, an early morning and not enough coffee, it sure was fun!
I need to share that amongst my two sisters and I, we each have one daughter that we refer to as our “wild child.” Not wild in the sense of bad, but it’s just our word for them. I guess you’d say they are the “free spirits” in the family. Anyways, Lindsey is my sister’s wild child, BUT when it came time to be a bride, get out of the way girly girls! She wanted the veil, the tiara, the whole traditional nine yards! I love that!! Their wedding perfectly suited their love for the outdoors as the ceremony was in a redwood grove and their personal vows read like a best selling novel, but it just goes to show that every girl does dream of her wedding day and walking down the aisle on her daddy’s arm (wearing a veil of course)!!
