Old Frames, New Chalkboards

Somedays I just feel the need to craft. It doesn’t matter if it’s cutting, gluing, sewing, or spray-painting. Some days a girl just has to craft!

I had recently purchased some frames from Goodwill that I knew I could use for something, so I headed out to Home Depot for some kind of a thin board and chalkboard paint. I don’t know if Home Depot is as helpful for men as they are for women, but I find them always so helpful! They cut my board into the perfect 11×14 pieces (no charge for the cuts, thank you very much) that I needed to finish my project.

Some fun spray paint on the frames, a little chalkboard paint and voila, the perfect new and fun chalkboard!!  I love chalkboards and find them cute and versatile! I love using them as a menu board when hosting a party!

What do you think? Are you ready to go searching for some cheap used frames and go get some bright spray paint?
