An Ordinary Day/Just Snapshots

When I transitioned my blog from Renee Whiting Photography, over to Nana’s Empty Nest, I didn’t know exactly what it would look like in the future. I knew a few main categories that I wanted to regularly post about and definitely wanted to keep my occasional portrait sessions posted, but was it going to be confusing to post “Ordinary Day Snapshots” along with my photography work? I think to differentiate the two types of photography, I will add “/Just Snapshots” to the title from now on. Hopefully future clients will see the difference and not be turned off by the “not so perfect snapshot.”

Sometimes life is just ordinary! And we all need to be taking “snaps” of those ordinary moments. While portraits are important, it is equally important to remember the ordinary moments that make life so special.

I was recently down in SB with the grand-babies and caught a couple of those moments when we were playing in the yard.

Beckett and I spent lots of time playing on the steps in the dirt that he “borrowed” from Daddy’s flower pots. From the moment he woke up in the morning (after juice, cereal and show), the words were, “play Nana!” How could I not??

And Miss Leigh Leigh discovered tomatoes! I think she ate three of them, whole, straight from the garden!

*Remember, while snapshots may not be perfect, the memories are!!

Awww, your grand babies are adorable! I totally agree with posting snap shots as well. I get to wrapped up in “i have to edit EVERYTHING” that I loose site of it. I have so many pics I should blog of my own kids from the summer, but I am obsessed with editing them! I need to work on that, thanks for the post!ReplyCancel
