Do not overshoot, do not overshoot, do not overshoot! That is what I kept telling myself going into this session! But how could I not? It was a family session w/ an 18 month old and a maternity session. And, we were at Wilder Ranch which is so much fun! I could have shot all day! With all that said, I over shot and their gallery is about 2x a normal gallery. And since I had so many images, I figured I should feature the session with a slideshow.
**Please allow a minute or two for the slideshow to fully load prior to viewing!
I met up with the B family on a drizzly summer morning for their session. They were so much fun and up for anything, including hauling their red adirondack chair to the session. We did a little bit of everything: maternity, couple, family and just their little guy! I must say the maternity/couple part of the session was a breeze, the family photos were simple enough, but to get Bryson alone and to get him to focus on me for just a few minutes was out of the question. There was too much to explore and there was no stopping him! I got some wonderful shots of his back (while he was checking out the goats or chickens) and a few of him enjoying the apple he found in the orchard. We might have to “corral” him in studio for his two year old photos!
Congratulations in advance on the arrival of your daughter, I can’t wait to meet her!
Here’s a little sampling of our time together at Wilder Ranch.

I just love repeat clients! I photographed Gemma when she was a newborn and now she’s one! It is so amazing to me how little ones change in their first year. From being helpless little newborns to walking, running, climbing, talking, singing one year olds! Gemma was just adorable when she sang her little song with her Mama! I’m not sure she had all the words, but she sure had the tone! She sang it perfectly!
Having a one year old in my MiniStudio really made me realize what I’ve known all along. It is way too small! It’s great for newborn sessions, but for a one year old on the move with an agenda of her own, it is just too small. We made the best of trying to keep Gemma corralled in the studio space, but with stairs in site, she’d rather climb. We were able to get a few studio shots, then we moved outside for a few minutes. I think by this time however, she was done with me! It was getting late, it was dinner time, and again, she has a one year old’s agenda!
Here’s a few in studio:

And outside:

What a little doll-baby Paige is!! I think she gets cuter every single day! We’ve been waiting for Paige to “sit” on her own, but I think she’s gone from sitting to moving in one fell swoop! We honestly thought that she was going to take off crawling, she made every attempt she could. We’d sit her in position and she’d immediately go to her knees and when I tried to get a tummy shot, she immediately started scooting (backwards, of course)! She even did a pretty good job standing for us!
Thank you D’Anna for bring Paige for a quick little session. She was so much fun to play dress up with! I hope you enjoy your little sneak peak!
